Cindy Baccetti and Chef Thierry Rautureau "The Chef in the Hat" talks Taste of the Nation 2007 and ending childhood hunger in America
“Cindy has worked with the Seattle Taste of the Nation volunteer committee for many years and formerly chaired the event, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for organizations fighting hunger. Cindy’s enthusiasm for our mission and superb advocacy skills have helped us expand our network and reach in the Seattle area. Her company Groupdyne has participated in Taste of the Nation Seattle as a vendor and has also provided critical graphic design support to the committee. In addition to her role with Taste of the Nation, for many years Cindy has helped organize another fundraising event called “Chefs Night Out”, which supports Share Our Strength’s local Operation Frontline program in Seattle. Operation Frontline, the nutrition education arm of Share Our Strength, has been able to reach more low-income families and children thanks to the critical funds raised through this event. Over the last 25 years, Share Our Strength has raised over $245 million to fight hunger, and we could never have accomplished this feat without amazing leaders like Cindy dedicating their time, energy, and talents to our cause. Cindy’s leadership and commitment have been integral to our success in the Seattle area and we are continually grateful for all of her support.”
